Cardboard Carnival Challenge 2023
Calling all 5th-8th graders:
Enter the Cardboard Carnival to design and build a fun cardboard arcade game for a chance to win amazing prizes.
- Build an arcade game with spinning obstacles, blinking lights, trap doors, bumpers, or tunnels within a game board that you design
- Supply kits are loaned out for free and available for pickup – the only thing students need is cardboard.
- Learn construction techniques and code motors and sensors to bring your game to life!
- Weekly in-person workshops, video tutorials, and mentor support hours to help you along the way
- Showcase your game at the Cardboard Carnival at Fleetwood-Jourdain on March 11!
- Registration is open until February 20. Arcade Games due by March 6.

The Cardboard Carnival is supported by staff and students from the Evanston Public Library, EvanSTEM-District 65, Family Focus, and Y.O.U. Funded by the Illinois State Library.
