Connect to your child's learning through the Dashboard
The Dashboard lets you view and receive specific recommendations of your youth's interests. It connects you and your child across the city for potential STEM opportunities, programs, activities and spaces that help prepare your youth to succeed in school and future careers.
EL3 helps you connect your child to free and affordable opportunities outside of school that match up with their interests and passions. Learning outside of school helps young people gain critical skills and experiences that prepare them to be life-long learners and to succeed in college and career.
Research indicates the impact that extra-curricular activities have on achievement and future success. Read More
As youth develop habits, knowledge, and skills through EL3 activities and programs, they can earn digital badges that demonstrate the skills they have gained and what they have accomplished. Then they can share their digital badges with friends, teachers, colleges, and potential employers. Youth can also showcase their work with friends and adults to share their accomplishments and strengthen their learning identity.
Colleges and businesses are using digital badges to acknowledge learning. Read More
Your child’s EL3 account is an online portfolio, or what we like to call a “digital backpack” and contains a history of their EL3 participation and accomplishments that they earn over time. As a District 65 student, your child already has an EL3 account using their same user-name and password that they use for school. If not, then CLICK HERE to “Join” EL3 and set up your child’s account. Each child must have their own account.
We are working with all of Evanston’s youth organizations to establish a complete online directory of programs and learning opportunities. Along with the more than 150 online challenges available, EL3 is the place to be. You can search for activities by category or keyword.
