Water Toolkit -- City of Evanston
Due to climate change, Evanston is expected to experience 8 days of extreme rainfall by 2100 in addition to 6 more inches of rain per year.
With the Water Toolkit students will learn about the negative impacts of climate change on the water system in Evanston in addition to understanding how these issues are navigated from a systemic level in the City of Evanston Climate Action and Resilience Plan (CARP).
Students participating with this Poster will have an opportunity to:
- Generate dialogue around the effects of increased precipitation on Evanston.
- Understand the negative impacts of Climate change in Evanston including drought, decreased aquatic diversity, water quality, and higher lake levels.
- Collaborate on decisions to help navigate the negative impacts of increase rainfall in Evanston.
