What is 8-Bit Boot Camp?

Do you love video games? Get ready to take the next step! You can now work with mentors from the Loft and MetaMedia to create your own games.

No experience? Not a problem. Already an expert game designer? We got you covered. We have multiple tracks you can pick from. The Design Team will focus on creating characters and levels with minimal coding. The Dev Team will focus on creating a dungeon crawler game from the ground up.

Mentors will also do daily livestreams and host check-ins twice a week to support you on your game design journey. Level up your skills with us this summer.

When does the camp start or end?

The camp runs from June 15 - June 26.

What time do you meet?

Livestreams: Mondays - Thursdays from 2:00-2:30 pm.

Tune in to our YouTube channel were you can watch mentors create games step-by-step.

Drop-ins: Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 2:30-3:00 pm

Does it cost anything?

The camp is completely free.

Who can participate?

Evanston residents who are entering grades 6-8.
