Kid's Basic Sewing Saturdays

Join us each week as we learn to sew and hone our skills! No experience necessary.

Each session will feature a series of useful hands-on projects designed to reinforce and develop skills and creativity. Projects may include soft goods/bags, accessories, dolls/softies and quilting techniques. Most materials are new and natural in origin. Some projects may incorporate recycled textiles or materials. Specific projects are not repeated within a school year.

Kid’s classes proceed with the goal of eventually creating independent sewers. Children with previous sewing experience will be given opportunities to modify projects with technical challenges or design elements.

Children who complete a project before the end of class have the option of working on a community giving quilting project.
